An Open Letter to the Women Who Shaped Me | Women’s History Month Reflection
Tori Easterling • April 1, 2026

I applied it, I stayed, I grew, I fell, I got back up, and I kept going.

Before Women’s History Month ends, I need to say this clearly:

I am not self-made.

I am shaped.

Behind every version of who I am today...as a REALTOR®, educator, leader, and woman...there are women whose fingerprints are on my becoming.

Women who opened doors.

Women who challenged me.

Women who corrected me.

Women who supported me.

Women who saw something in me before I fully saw it in myself.

This is not a highlight reel.

This is the truth.

Some of these women taught me how to operate in rooms I had never experienced before...from luxury real estate environments in Metro Atlanta to leadership spaces across organizations.

Some taught me discipline...how to show up consistently, communicate clearly, and follow through with intention.

Some taught me how to think...to slow down, to process, to make decisions with clarity instead of urgency.

And some taught me something even more valuable:

How to be.

Not perform.

Not prove.

Not rush.

Just be.

That lesson alone changed how I live, how I work, and how I lead.

Because success is not just about production.

It is about capacity.

And capacity is built through people.

If you’ve ever wondered how someone becomes confident, consistent, or clear...look beyond the individual.

Look at the environment.

Look at the relationships.

Look at the people who invested in them.

That is where the real story lives.

For me, that story spans cities like Atlanta, Georgia and South Florida, where I have built my business, taught real estate, and continued to evolve both personally and professionally.

And in every season, there were women.

Women who made space for me.

Women who expected more from me.

Women who reminded me who I was when I forgot.

That kind of influence does not disappear.

It becomes part of how you walk into a room.

How you speak.

How you lead.

How you recover.

How you begin again.

So this is not just a reflection.

It is a recognition.

A reminder that none of us arrive alone.

And if you are reading this and you are in a season of growth, transition, or rebuilding...pay attention to the women around you.

Who challenges you?

Who supports you?

Who sees you clearly?

Those relationships matter more than most people realize.

And if there is a woman who has shaped your life...

Say her name.

Tell her.

Honor her while she can hear it.

Because the truth is simple:

We are all, in some way, the result of the women who came alongside us.
